Who may run for a board position?
Active members will always have priority however, all FA members have the opportunity to run for a board position.
What to bring
A completed Board Member Application and Board Member Candidate Questionnaire.
In addition, please bring your résumé, work schedule, and plans for break.
What and how to prepare
(1) Prepare a speech about 2-5 minutes that includes:
- A little background about yourself
- Why you want that position
- Experiences, skills, and qualifications relevant to the position desired
- Your goals for the club and how you will help to achieve them
(2) Dress in business attire
(3) Be yourself!
What to expect
(1) Candidates will run for the positions desired during the first 30 minutes of the meeting.
(2) Everyone will have a chance to run for the position they wish before we make a decision.
(3) Expect to be asked a lot of questions.
(4) We will take the last 20 minutes for discussion, voting, and announcing results.
